Traditional Archery Sketch Dump

I've been very busy for the past few months (ha, that's a mild way of putting it), but a couple of weeks ago I re-read some of Takanaga Hinako's work featuring traditional Japanese archery. I was left with an incredibly strong urge to draw Uryuu in that kind of outfit, with a traditional bow, but I didn't think I'd have the time, or that I'd be able to do it (I often /want/ to draw stuff, but that doesn't mean it happens…)

I had time this weekend and, well, as you can see, it worked. I was only planning to do rough sketches but I tried using a different kind of brush and it ended up working really well, giving me cleaner lines even though technically the brush is a lot messier than the default round one I always use.

The only problem now is that I want to ink and colour all of them. And that's not even mentioning the AU featuring captain-of-the-high-school-archery-team!Uryuu my brain has been trying to put together since I started the other day.

But maaaaan~ it feels good to be drawing him again!! I wasn't entirely happy with his face on the first sketch (left, without a bow), but second and third? Yep, definitely!
