Now this is different, isn't it?

I didn't set out with something like this in mind at all. I was redoing the entire lineart with the pen tool (I just couldn't have worked with that ugly low res one, no) and I tried a different setting for the brush that gave me something that looked kind of sumi-e-esque to me. Kind of, you know, compared to what I usually do. I liked it too much to start over so I ended up taking inspiration from the sumi-e-inspired style used for the Okami video game.

I know I probably focused too much on the lineart (but that's the best part!!) while the colouring itself isn't that elaborate, but I hope I'll get points for originality and effort... Trust me, the colouring had me right out of my comfort zone; I don't do things like that! I'm usually all about perfect shapes and curves made with the pen tool, but this time I only used a brush. And it was awesome.

I couldn't resist when I saw it :love: I think it would be interesting if two people chose the same page. It hasn't happened yet as far as I know.

If you don't know which one to choose and you have enough time, you can do both! I'm thinking about maybe trying for another one myself…
